    The Royal Anniversary Trust hosted a Reception and Dinner at the Guildhall, City of London, on 21st  February 2018 to mark the award of Queen’s Anniversary Prizes to 21 universities and colleges in the twelfth biennial round of this national honour. Chairman of the Royal Anniversary Trust Sir Damon Buffini gave an address welcoming the guests and Nobel prize-winner Sir Paul Nurse FRS Director of the Francis Crick Institute gave the main speech.

    The reception and dinner at the Guildhall City of London was held prior to the awards ceremony the next morning at Buckingham Palace to honour the achievement of the 21 prize-winning institutions. Up to 400 guests from all walks of UK life attended  and the evening provided a rich mix of pageantry,   short choral interludes  and a musical finale  performed by Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Drama with the opportunity for guests and senior staff from the prize-winners to network and to celebrate their outstanding achievement.
