National impact in digital educational technology
Exeter College is an Ofsted Outstanding FE college with a track record in digital delivery and excellence. Its digital approach is sector leading, with impact in encompassing curriculum innovation, teaching and learning at regional and national level. In 2017, the college formed the ‘Exeter Data Information Science Collaborative’ (E-DISC), an initiative to bring Data Analytics skills training into the locality.
Exeter College has been a Microsoft Showcase College since 2018. In January 2019 an Exeter College lecturer was awarded a prestigious ‘Technical Teaching Fellowship’ by the Education and Training Foundation and Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851. In 2020, the college was selected by the Department for Education to become an EdTech Demonstrator College. In 2021, it launched an Esports Academy, became the UK’s largest provider of T Levels and gained accreditation as an Apple Authorised Training Centre for Education.
